Singapore, 1997. The Lims are a wealthy family of three: husband, wife and son, who hire Teresa, a Filipino woman who has come to the metropolis to serve, in search of a better life. The entire family has to adapt to the presence of this foreigner, which further upsets their already tense relationship.
