During an assault, the famous pirate Dragut seizes some secret documents sent to Rhodes by the Republic of Venice and kidnaps Blanca, the daughter of the island's governor. He releases an adventurer, Captain Diego, from prison, entrusting him with the task of rescuing his daughter and recovering the documents. Diego manages to enlist in Dragut's crew and get closer to the young woman, but he is discovered and is condemned to die of hunger in the desert. Myriam, the princess of the oasis, finds poor Diego and saves him. Meanwhile Blanca manages to escape and catches up with Diego. Myriam falls in love with the adventurer and is willing to oppose Dragut, but when she sees that her love is not reciprocated and that Diego is in love with Blanca, she decides to join Dragut and take revenge on him.
