

- My Week with Marilyn:
Year 1956. The young actress Marilyn Monroe (Michelle Williams) arrives in England to star with Sir Laurence Olivier (Kenneth Branagh) in the film "The Prince and the Showgirl." Colin Clark (Eddie Redmayne), a well-connected 23-year-old, gets a job as a production assistant and witnesses the clash of egos and strained relationship between Olivier and Marilyn during filming.
- A winter at the beach:
Years after his divorce, veteran novelist Bill Borgens (Greg Kinnear) remains obsessed with Erica (Jennifer Connelly), the woman who abandoned him for another man. Despite the efforts of his neighbor Tricia (Kristen Bell), he only has eyes for Erica. When Bill discovers that his daughter Samantha (Lily Collins) has just published her first novel, he realizes that he hasn't written in a while. At the same time, his son Rusty (Nat Wolff) is also trying to find his way as a fiction writer.

Gerri (Ruth Sheen), a therapist, and Tom (Jim Broadbent), a geologist, have been happily married for many years, although they worry that their son Joe (Oliver Maltman), a lawyer, will remain single. This concern prevents them from realizing the extent to which Maria (Lesley Manville), Gerri's fragile co-worker, is completely dependent on their friendship.
