For Sophie, the bride, and Mark, the groom, the words "Till death do us part" take on a threatening meaning on their wedding day. Hermann, Mark's conceited father, is having a bad day and gets into a fight over the aperitif with Franz, a haute cuisine chef who has financial problems and in whose elegant country inn the banquet is to be held. Slowly but surely the party begins to get out of control. The idyllic rural inn becomes a fortress under siege and aggression between both parties increases.
