After the brutal murder of her parents, Justine has become an almost invisible presence, trying to go completely unnoticed by the rest of society. But the early release of the murderer will force her to come to light again, stirring in her feelings of fear, pain and revenge. Justine will try to find help and comfort in Louis Schneider, police officer of the crime department of Marseille, a city plunged into chaos because countless murderers and criminals remain free and unpunished, to the discredit of the police force. Schneider, an incorruptible anti-hero, decides to confront his superiors and begin an investigation that will take him headlong to the gates of hell. Somber, violent and desperate, MR 73 pays tribute to police officers who are abandoned by those around them, betrayed by higher authorities and who end up corroded by a profession they consider a priority. Beyond the police intrigue, MR 73 is a film about redemption and oblivion as a condition of our existence. The title evokes the famous Manurhin MR-73 revolver with which all squads of the French national police were equipped, before being replaced by the Sig-Sauer SP2022.
