A new life begins with the chronicle of the last days during which Jinhee, a nine-year-old girl, lives with her father before he abandons her without saying goodbye to her in an orphanage in Seoul run by nuns. The girl watches the days go by in the hope that her father will return to pick her up and, in the meantime, she creates a new family with her new friends with whom she shares fun and transcendental games and experiences for her growth and education. When some of their classmates leave, they achieve the dream of becoming part of a new family although, sometimes, they are sad to separate from the rest. For this reason, Jinhee decides, on the one hand, to reinvent her own story, and on the other, to appear silent and absent with her potential new parents in order to avoid facing a new separation.
