Off Russia, winter 1943. A battalion of the Blue Division comes across a series of horse heads scattered on the frozen surface of a lake. The bodies are submerged under the ice. Mounted on one of the horses, the corpse of a Spanish soldier. A gash runs through his neck from side to side, and on his shoulder there is an inscription engraved with a knife: "Look how God is looking at you." The commanders entrust the investigation to soldier Arturo Andrade, former police inspector, who takes on the task with rigor and professionalism. Arturo believes that the murder is related to Freemasonry. There is also a second hypothesis: that the victim was a pro-Soviet agent infiltrated in the Division, and the "Look how God is watching you" a warning to other possible collaborators.
