If an alien invasion took place on Earth, ordinary people would experience it as shown in this film. On prom night in the small California town of Lawton, a meteor shower disrupts the general peace. Police officer Brick Bardo is sent to inspect the area of the collision of the stellar bodies, alerted by Jenkins, a villager who has witnessed the event. Upon arriving at the scene, the officer quickly detects that something is not right, Jenkins wanders clumsily, without sense, walking as if driven by electric shocks and letting out grunts and babbling.
