

After World War II (1939-1945), Pierre Brossard (Michael Caine), a Nazi who oversaw the execution of 14 Jews, took refuge in the south of France. But, suddenly, his peaceful and anonymous life is disturbed when he is involved in an investigation into war crimes. An ambitious judge (Tilda Swinton) tries to track him down, but she is not the only one following in his footsteps.
