Lebanon, summer of 1958. Three sisters from a wealthy family spend their holidays in a remote valley in the Lebanese mountains. The quiet life of the village is interrupted by the arrival of two French vacationers and by the echoes of a distant revolution that echoes in Beirut. But within the family, Christian and with traditional customs, something begins to change when Layla, the eldest of the three sisters, married and mother of one son, opens her eyes to the patriarchal society that keeps women under control. In a Lebanon that dreams of a golden age, can a woman have a destiny different from that outlined by men?
