The night he loses his first tooth, the Tooth Fairy fails to leave him the coin. Lucía worries and feels that something bad has happened to Pérez. Distraught, she tells her father her suspicions, but he pays no attention. Thus, she decides to undertake the search for Pérez, helped by her cousin Ramiro. They will soon discover that the Tooth Fairy lives on a ship where he has a perfectly organized factory, where thousands of mice live and make pearls with the teeth they collect from children. Along the way they will meet Pipo, a not very reliable character who will try to mislead the children. Pipo is Morientes' nephew, who is Ratoncito Pérez's partner and friend. He is an ambitious and deceitful young man who makes the children believe that he is their ally, but his true intention is to get the Tooth Fairy out of the way and keep his pearl empire.
