NEW 2K RESTORATION – A Buster Keaton Movie

The Canfields and the McKays have inherited a feud that has passed from father to son. During a stormy night in 1810, the family patriarch, John McKay, and his rival, James Canfield, murder each other. To prevent her son Willie from suffering the same fate, John's wife sends him to New York, where he is cared for by his aunt.

Twenty years later, Willie inherits his father's estate and must travel to his homeland to claim it. On an eventful train trip, he meets Virgina, a beautiful young woman who invites him to dinner, without knowing that she is the only daughter of the Candfields, although the "law of hospitality" prohibits the Canfields from killing him while he is a guest in the mansion.
