She considers having an abortion but this possibility makes her unhappy. She becomes romantically involved with Toby (Tom Bell), a young writer who lives on the first floor. Over time he begins to like his room and makes friends with the people in the house. But she still has to solve two problems: what to do with her baby and what to do with Toby.
