Norval's (Elijah Wood) life is difficult. While living with his mother, he enters and leaves alcohol-related rehabilitation therapies without apparent direction. One day he receives a letter from his father requesting a visit and he doesn't think twice: he quickly goes to his house, convinced that meeting him will fill the emotional void he has been feeling since his adolescence.
