Synopsis:
Myles Clarkson (Alan Alda), a young journalist and up-and-coming classical pianist, is delighted to be able to combine his two passions in an exceptional interview with the legendary and ailing pianist Duncan Ely (Curd Jurgens). But Clarkson is in for a nasty surprise. Ely, a secret worshiper of Satan, performs a ritual that allows him to transfer his soul into Myles' body at the moment of his death, to regain his youth and be able to continue playing the piano. Complications increase when Paula (Jacqueline Bisset), Myles' wife, notices changes in her husband's behavior. When she tries to find out the truth, Paula is drawn into a horrifying world of soul swaps, demonic possessions, and terrible family secrets. When you dance "Mephisto's waltz," it is the devil who sets the time. The audio in Spanish is the best available but contains small fragments in VO given its age.
