1909. Miguel, a young teacher, is assigned to a small mountain town on the border between Spain and Portugal: Lobosandaus, an inhospitable village with ancestral traditions. He is a man of reason, but he cannot control his passionate desires and, as winter approaches, he feels how darkness takes over everything around him while his fascination with the enigmatic Dorinda grows. In a place dominated by superstition, the strange death of a villager frees his spirit in search of a body that allows him to continue his existence, which will lead Miguel to question the limits between the world of the living and the dead. .
