Thirteen cloistered nuns from a convent in Havana make all the hosts in Cuba: a million wafers each year that spread throughout the island. Teresa María de la Virgen de la Caridad is responsible for supervising the manufacturing. She is 90 years old and has not left the convent for 69 years. A box with thousands of hosts leaves the convent and reaches the church of San Judas. María Antonia works there and will be in charge of distributing them among disabled elderly people who cannot leave their homes. María Antonia lives with her daughter Madelín and her granddaughter Cintia. In the convent, Liset, who two years ago became a cloistered nun, and the rest of the nuns work hard preparing a very special request: the hosts of Pope Francis. The Pope needs the best wafers in the country for the massive mass he will give in the Plaza de la Revolución.
