Nasarah means Nazarene in Arabic. The first letter of this word is N, ن. It is the letter that Daesh, the self-proclaimed Islamic Army, has used to mark the houses of the Christians of Mosul in Iraq. The film tells the story of these Christians through the dramatic testimonies of some of those who had to flee their homes overnight. They were forced to choose between life and their faith and preferred to lose everything rather than give up their beliefs. In the last ten years, one and a half million Christians have been forced to leave Syria and Iraq. This film, shot in Lebanon, in Beirut, on the Syrian border, in the Bekaa Valley and in the refugee camps, is the story of the ethnic cleansing that jihadism has carried out in Syria and Iraq. This is a document that helps to understand with testimonies, with analysis, what Daesh is, the jihadist group that strikes the Middle East, North Africa and Europa . But it is also the portrait of a strange human group that does not live its suffering in despair, that feels accompanied in pain.
