Walking by the Wall is an informative film, a documentary that tells the story of how one of the most decisive minorities in the Middle East lives: the Christians of Egypt, the Copts. There are 10 million Christians who live in a Muslim-majority country and have suffered harsh persecution in recent years. It was recorded in Cairo, Alexandria, the Wadi Natrum desert and the city of Mynia in very difficult circumstances and under pressure from a government that does not want to make known what is happening in the country. On some occasions, the cameras used had to be hidden in the underwear of their authors. The protagonists of the film are Copts who live in very varied circumstances. It also reflects life in one of the monasteries founded more than 1,500 years ago and the testimony of the victims of several attacks. The film collects opinions from high-ranking figures in Egyptian life such as the vice president of the Constitutional Court Tahani El Gebali or the president of Al Azhar University or Sama Abd, the most influential Sunni University in the world.
