Every year an exciting and beautiful journey begins in Antarctica. Hundreds of thousands of emperor penguins leave the safety of the ocean to enter the frozen desert land, a region so harsh and extreme that no other living being dares to inhabit. The entire penguin community marches across this difficult ice landscape, with resolve and courage driven by their need to reproduce for the survival of the species. This is the story of a family of penguins, how after dozens of kilometers and after laying a single egg, the mother returns to the sea to eat while the father stays to incubate the egg waiting for the mother to return. Parents stay 4 months incubating and not feeding. When the little ones are born, the mothers only have 48 hours to return or the baby penguins will die. Both will be subject to extreme survival conditions with temperatures of more than 40 degrees below zero, all in order to prolong the species.
