Aquí hay un nuevo espectáculo de órgano digno de la tradición, grabado en 2011 en el poderoso órgano EM Skinner del Cincinnati Museum Center en Union Terminal (Ohio, EE. UU.). El órgano se mantiene en un estándar excelente por su curador, Harley V. Piltingsrud, y poniendo el instrumento a prueba con una selección que mantiene la venerable tradición de arreglos de órgano es JeanBaptiste Robin (1976), uno de los más destacados organistas y compositores franceses de su generación que estudió con MarieClaire Alain y Olivier Latry. Robin ha hecho sus propios arreglos de música que van desde el elegíaco Adagio de Samuel Barber hasta el poderoso Preludio en Do sostenido menor Op. 3, No.2 que hizo famoso a Rachmaninov, pasando por el exuberante Prélude à l'aprèsmidi d'un faune de Debussy y el monumental La cathédrale engloutie. Incluso hay espacio entre el enorme rango de colores de los órganos de Cincinatti para los bailes populares rumanos de Bartók y Urlicht de Mahler, que se convirtió en el punto de inflexión de su poderosa Sinfonía de la Resurrección. Concluyendo el recital hay dos obras originales para órgano, el homenaje contrapuntístico de Liszt a Bach y los propios Círculos distantes de Robin. Opinión Estamos tratando con lo verdaderamente extraordinario ... Robin toca con audacia, verve y con una atención inquebrantable al detalle cromático.
