After the sudden death of his father, Charlie Price (Joel Edgerton) has to take over the family business located in Northampton: a conventional shoe factory, Price and Sons. Charlie immediately realizes that business is not going well and that without new orders they will go bankrupt. Furthermore, his employees are quite skeptical about his ability as a boss.
