On June 20, 1791, the Kings of France (Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette) tried to escape from Paris in the midst of a revolution to join allies of the monarchy who were waiting to rescue them on the outskirts of France. They were finally arrested in Varennes. The incident caused popular distrust and hatred towards monarchs. Related to these historical data, this film imagines a group of travelers taking the same route.
