There he meets Dolgoruki, a Russian friend who will be his traveling companion. Everything gets complicated when he accidentally meets Carmen. The girl is the last descendant of Boabdil, a Moorish king. She is the one who must fulfill an important prophecy that will defeat the evil Ali, who betrayed King Boabdil to gain control of those lands. But he will not be able to gain power until the last descendant of Boabdil dies. When Carmen discovers who she is and what she must do, she marches towards Granada but is kidnapped by her enemies. Irving, in love with the girl and knowing the danger he is in, saves her and after overcoming difficult obstacles, manages to accompany her to the Alhambra so that she can fulfill the prophecy, Boabdil's treasures (which were in Ali's possession) are returned to the town and La Alhambra can once again shine in all its splendor.
