Starship Troopers
Thousands of viewers were left impressed when in 1997 the famous director Paul Verhoeven premiered Starship Troopers, an intense science fiction film that elevated the concept of extraterrestrial war to a new level. After the premiere of this film, nothing would be the same for the audience, who became hooked on that terrible futuristic world in which society, through young soldiers, fights tirelessly against space bugs.
In Starship Troopers, society has to deal with a terrible enemy: arachnids. These aliens spread terror in their wake due to their violence and enormous size, not to mention that they have the body of an insect capable of doing real atrocities. The world government relies on mobile infantry and its various experts to combat the bugs planet by planet, claiming territory and trying to keep human society from disappearing. In this paradigm Johnny Rico becomes one of the new officers sent into space to continue the war with the arachnids alongside a group of recruits who, like him, will be formed knowing that they will soon have to risk their lives.

Previously, his mastery of the genre had been reflected in such impressive and essential works as RoboCop and Desafío Total, films in which he left a particular stamp that has led him to be one of the biggest names.
