Three years after the Crucifixion of Jesus, a rumor spreads that the Nazarene is a prophet who has risen from the dead, inciting people to rebel against the government of Rome. To quell the unrest, Emperor Tiberius sends Taurus, a loyal Roman officer, to Judea to find Jesus or, at least, his tomb to quell the rumors.
