Harvey (Dustin Hoffman) is a music composer for advertising who, in addition to being fired, is ignored by his daughter at her wedding. He decides to drown his sorrows in the airport bar where he will strike up a conversation with Kate (Emma Thompson), a spinster whose social life is limited to humiliating blind dates and endless telephone conversations with her mother. Harvey is inspired by her intelligence and way of being and soon there will be a connection that will make their sad lives change forever.


The film relies on one of the most reliable casts in today's Hollywood . Its protagonists are two veteran actors of recognized prestige, highly awarded in their long careers, who have participated in films that are considered classics.


Dustin Hoffman, who debuted in 1976 in The Graduate, has won the Academy Oscar twice for Kramer vs. Kramer and for Rain Man, and has been nominated seven times. Emma Thompson has also won two Oscars for Return to Howards End and Sense and Sensibility in addition to obtaining two nominations for The Remains of the Day and In the Name of the Father.


In the cast we will also find names like Eileen Atkins (The Actor's Shadow, Gosford Park) and James Brolin (Capricorn 1, Catch Me If You Can)


The film is written and directed by Joel Hopkins, winner of a BAFTA and the Audience Award at the Deauville Film Festival for his first film Jump Tomorrow.
