Luca Scandali tiene la medida de las austeres canciones de Pellegrini, sus ocasionales préstamos de Clemens Non Papa, Janequin y otros se ven igualados por su propia sorprendente originalidad. Las características tocatas y ricercares de Padovano se exaltan en la riqueza contrapuntística de la escuela veneciana en su apogeo. La nota informativa de Scandali complementa una interpretación de total comprensión intuitiva, capturada en la acústica propicia de la Basílica de Santa Bárbara de Mantua.
