During the last years of World War II, the Third Reich planned the biggest scam in history: they began printing counterfeit pounds and dollars with the aim of flooding enemy economies and, in the process, filling their own coffers. Thus "Operation Bernhard" was born. Professional typographers, meticulous bankers and experienced craftsmen were transferred to the Sachsenhausen concentration camp, among them Salomon Sorowitsch, known as the best currency counterfeiter. Converted into a commando of top secret forgers, they could sabotage the operation, putting their lives in danger or collaborate with the Nazis, prolonging and financing the war until they won the conflict.
