José Cid is currently the most important singer-songwriter of Portuguese pop rock, and an idol for youth, who see in him a reference for today's music. Poet, composer, instrumentalist, producer, musician and protagonist of his work, in his musicality, José Cid, has jazz, fado, bossa nova and symphonic rock as references in his origins. Over time, José Cid evolves into a very personal and poetic pop, while his voice allows him to be at a surprising international level. He finally decided, in 2016, to produce his first album in Spanish, helped by two Galician poets, Julio Otero and Armando Martínez, as well as Manolo Gil, who produced his voice, at the Red Led studios in Madrid. As a curiosity, his great-grandfather, also named José Cid, was born in Ciudad Rodrigo (Salamanca), and emigrated to Portugal. His latest album released in Portugal, "Menino Prodigio", received in February of this year the award for best Portuguese music album of the year 2015 in the opinion of the SPA (Portuguese Society of Authors). Now his first album of original songs is published in Spain, titled "José Cid", produced by Alta Fidelidad .
